PROVIDING NEUTRAL SOLUTIONS
What Is Family Mediation?
Family mediation is a guided process that helps separating or divorcing couples create clear agreements on parenting, finances, and co-parenting responsibilities, avoiding the need for costly and adversarial court processes.
Family mediators help to shift your focus on solutions that work for both parents and, most importantly, for your children.

How Mediation Can Help You:
Reduce Conflict
Make co-parenting smoother with clear expectations of how to share parental responsibilities, such as education, health care decisions and how to communicate effectively.
Create A Parenting Plan
Set a structured schedule for holidays, school breaks, and transitions between homes and transport to and from activities.
Clarify Financial Responsibilities
Determine child support, daycare costs, and other extra curricular expenses with a fair agreement.
Move Forward With Confidence
Shift from ex-partners to co-parents with clarity and peace of mind.

Cost-Effective – Less expensive than going to court.

-
Faster Resolution – Move forward without lengthy legal battles.

-
Less Stressful – A collaborative, non-adversarial process.

-
Better for Children – Prioritizes their well-being and stability.
How The Mediation Process Works
A Heartfelt Approach to Mediation
I understand that navigating family matters can be overwhelming, and the road to resolution isn’t always easy. Through my step-by-step process, I work alongside you to explore your concerns, facilitate open communication, and help you reach an agreement that works for everyone.

1. Free Consultation Call
I would be happy to set up a brief 15 minute, confidential phone conversation at a time that is convenient for you.
During our first chat, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about the process, my approach and the next steps.
3. Joint Mediation Session
Once I have had the chance to meet with both parents separately and assessed that mediation is a safe and appropriate process for you and the other parent, we will then book a joint session.
In our mediation session, I am there to facilitate a conversation between you and the other parent that addresses all the issues that brought you to the process, with the focus on finding a mutually beneficial solution that is in your child(ren)'s best interest.

2. Intake & Individual Interviews
If you choose to move forward, I’ll email you an intake form to complete before our initial consultation. This form helps me understand your situation and learn more about your family.
During our one-on-one confidential interview we will further explore your concerns, what you are hoping to resolve and whether mediation is the right choice for you.
If needed, I can give you legal information and share valuable community resources with you, such as counselling services, and legal advice.
The same interview process I will also have with the other parent to ensure my neutrality and a balanced approach.
4. Final Agreement & Memorandum Of Understanding
When a resolution is reached, I’ll help draft a Memorandum of Understanding outlining the agreed-upon terms.
This document can then be reviewed by legal professionals and used to formalize the agreement, providing a clear, lasting solution for all parties involved.
Moving Forward
With Clarity
After a successful mediation you feel empowered that you were able to reach an agreement that fulfills your child(ren)'s and your needs. You will be ready to move forward with a clear plan, ensuring peace of mind and towards a more harmonious future.
